Job Description:
We are looking for a detail-oriented Software Tester to evaluate and ensure the quality of web and/or mobile applications. The ideal candidate should be skilled in manual testing, have a strong understanding of SDLC/STLC, and be able to identify, document, and track defects effectively.
Responsibilities:
• Analyze requirements and prepare test scenarios and test cases
• Perform manual testing (functional, regression, smoke, sanity)
• Identify, log, and track defects using tools like JIRA
• Work closely with developers and product teams to resolve issues
• Validate bug fixes and perform re-testing
• Ensure application quality, usability, and performance
• Prepare test reports and provide testing status updates
Requirements:
• 2–4 years of experience in software testing (manual)
• Good understanding of SDLC and STLC
• Hands-on experience with defect tracking tools (JIRA preferred)
• Experience testing web and/or mobile applications
• Strong analytical and communication skills
• Knowledge of SQL and API testing is a plus
• ISTQB certification is an added advantage
Good to Have:
• Basic knowledge of automation testing (Selenium / Postman)
• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodology
